Success!

Just look at them. The 1walker team. Aren’t they so successful?

They’re artists in the music industry. Now, they lead people closer to God.

Amazing, these Jesus figures are! <3

On the topic of Success, we supposedly would have a seminar with Jack Canfield and he would talk about Strategies of Success. Apparently, the seminar wasn’t a success and the seminar didn’t push through because he has concern overseas and with that, we were to research and at least learn something from Jack Canfield, which by the way was a very influential person.

He had a book entitled to the supposed seminar and eventually learned that his whole campaign was about achieving success in life. I researched upon his book and learned some things that I can live and bring with me in life. According to a book summary, the book can be explained in three big messages

One is,

If you want to be successful, you have to take 100% responsibility for everything that you experience in your life

Second,

Everything you think, say, and do needs to become intentional and aligned with your highest purpose, your values, and your goals

Lastly,

To achieve desired outcomes, one must replace complaining with making request and taking action

All of these, I agree upon.

There are so many thoughts and ideas that his book wants to impart on the reader, but there’s one message that his book, Strategies of Success, was consistent with;

It is “Intentional Living”. From being an avid book reader, I actually took that from one of John Maxwell’s authored books. We really have to be intentional to succeed.

On our early meetings of our CSBGRAD course (it’s a course where in we figure out what to do with life after we graduate), we had a session that started on a reflective note. Our professor gave us a question and let us choose a side. The question was this,

Do you want to be successful or significant?

I chose the significant side.

On a reflective note I state my reasons here. We can all be significant and successful. But we can’t all be successful and significant. It’s an intrapersonal and interpersonal issue. Success is an intrapersonal thing. Being successful is decided from within. We may have a goal for example, to have a million pesos. To be successful, we simply reach that goal of having a million pesos. But significance is different. It’s more than having that million pesos. But because this article is about success, I rest my case here.

To be successful is not a thing of the past. We can be successful in the little things we do everyday. We can set such simple goals like getting good grades, have plenty of friends, or on the other hand, set high enough goals like having a house and lot, to be magna cum laude when you graduate and be successful in that.

One thing’s for sure, the goals we reach so we can be successful, isn’t impossible. Do strive for your goals. Be intentional.Truly want something. On that path of being intentional with what we want, we reach our successes.

You can do it
