Compelling Love

Compelling.

It means irresistable. It urges you. It’s a “must do”

You would hear me saying this most of the time. If you talk with me about something or most especially God’s love, I would say it’s compelling.

“His love compels us to move.”

It’s that amazing. He just loves you and next thing you know, you take action because you want and need to share that love to others too.

Take note. It’s not just “I need to share this love” no. It’s “I need and want to share this love”.

It’s first a “want” because you feel that it’s not supposedly just with you, that love. You feel the “need” to share it. So you want to.

But then compelling might be kind of heavy, and somehow disturbing.

It kind off expects us to move. But it doesn’t.

It’s a result of something. An after effect or a side effect. It’s an after effect of being in God’s love so deeply. Proactiveness comes after.

The deeper you are in a relationship with God, the more compelling it is. The more you would want to share that love to others because He continues to fill you up that you overflow with love and there’s no other move just to give that overflow of love to others.

It may also not be just with God. Maybe a loved one, the people you care about, the people close to your heart. Or maybe with an event or what’s happening in your life. It may happen that it’s compelling not to move because you enjoyed so much and your love tank is filled up.

This is the kind of love our Father gives.

Go deep. Talk to him every moment, in ups and downs, and soak in the rain of His love that He showers you everyday.
